12/18/10 – This Day in Legend History – Larry Andersen
In 1992, Larry Andersen signed as a free agent with the Phillies, returning for his second stint with the club. He came back to the team at the perfect time, not only helping lead the Phils to the 1993 World Series, but added to the myriad of personalities that made this club one of the most distinctive of all time. Andersen’s humor and antics became stuff of legend, particularly when he first came to the Phils in 1983. Just ask Schmidty. He was also involved in some trade with the Houston Astros in 1990.
