Ike Reese Recalls His “Inside The Park” Home Run
Spike Eskin today reported on Ike Reese’s recent trip to Phillies Phantasy Camp. There are two audio clips of Ike speaking with Michael Barkann and his Sky Chiefs coach, Greg Luzinski. A good portion of the interviews deal with a disputed inside-the-park home run that he hit in his last game on Saturday.
That would have been against my team, the Drillers.
And that centerfielder who’s head he hit it over? That would be me.
I will most definitely get more in to this game later. In my defense, Ike had been a dead-pull hitter during the entire camp, so I shaded him towards right. And what does he do? He splits the gap. Nice poke Ike!
This is Ike taking warmup swings before his first at-bat against us, with The Bull in the background. He legged out a screaming dribbler to the pitcher.

I’ve always had a soft sport for Ike. He is a proud Michigan State Spartan, after all. Can’t wait for more on this and the rest of the experience v. 2.0.
