Mike Lieberthal to the Phillies Wall of Fame
Mike Lieberthal… former Phillies All-Star catcher, fellow sushi fanatic, and more importantly, coach of my Phantasy Camp team for the past two years, has just been selected for the prestigious Phillies Wall of Fame. Lieby will be inducted in a ceremony before the Phillies game against the St. Louis Cardinals on August 10th. He will be the sixth Phantasy Camp Legend to adorn the Wall, in addition to Greg Luzinski, Bob Boone, Juan Samuel, Darren Daulton, and John Kruk. Congrats skip!

I’m glad Lieberthal made it. I always like him. I don’t think Schilling’s ever going to make it on there, which is fine by me. I wouldn’t want to look at his big dumb face every time I went to CBP.
I’m really happy he was given this honor. He could have easily been overlooked with him playing during a bad stretch of the franchise’s history and being a pretty quiet, laid back guy. If Curt ever does make it, it may not be during his lifetime. After all these years, you would think there would be water under the bridge, but it actually seems to be getting worse. After hearing the Legends in Camp who were his teammate, it’s very clear that he was not the most popular guy in the clubhouse back in the day.
I’m glad Mike made it. He’s a very nice guy who deserves the honor. With everything I went through at camp. Mike and Kevin and the whole Driller’s team made it a very special time for me. I will always be grateful to them all. I want to go back! Mike, Congratulations!
