It’s John Kruk Month!
MLB.com’s Blog Central released their January 2012 leaders, and the diary cracked the top 30 at #29.
That’s right, I’m rocking The Krukker’s number this month!
So in honor of one of the best Legends to take the field at Phantasy Camp, please enjoy this little John Kruk medley…
I have been receiving some very complimentary words about my photographs. If you would like to see all my images from Phantasy Camp, please visit my Flickr collection here.
I want to thank everyone who has stopped by to read this blog, and has taken the time to leave a comment or send an email. It truly means the world to me.
Now let’s resume counting down to when the REAL players hit the field!
The Diary Is Featured On MLBlogs!
Last January, MLBlogs featured my blog on their homepage. This January, they did it again. Along with blogs about the Yankees, Mets, and Rockies fantasy camps, my diary was given special attention by the nice folks at MLBlogs. Thanks again!
SPPCD: 2011 Top 100 MLB.com Blog!
I’m num-ber 45! I’m num-ber 45!
MLB.com Blogs Central revealed their top 100 blogs for the year, and Sarge’s Phillies Phantasy Camp Diary landed on the list at number 45. Not too shabby for a blog that was centered around an experience that was only about 8 days long (orientation, camp, and two reunions). It’s been extremely fun maintaining the diary through the rest of the year, and I’m REALLY excited to do it again. One week to go!
I want to thank everyone for stopping by, reading a post or two, and leaving such wonderful comments in the last year. Right around this time last year, I was embroiled in a little MLBlogs controversy as the blog was mistakenly ranked number one for the month of January. It was still in the upper echelon which I was extremely proud of. I hope I can return there during these cold, winter months as we all watch Prime 9/Greatest Games marathons on MLB Network and get extremely eager for the beginning of Spring Training.
I also want to congratulate all the bloggers who made the list, including fellow Phans Phillies Phollowers, The Phanatic Addict, Rants, Raves, and Random Thoughts, Phillies Red Pinstripes, Larry Shenk’s Phillies Insider, and the best (and number one) beat writer, Todd Zolecki and his Zo Zone.
See you in Clearwater!
No June Swoon
I’m proud to say I’ve made a return to the MLB Blogs leaders, landing at #49 for the month of June.
Thank you all for your continued readership!
There will be a lot of new pictures and video in late August after the 2011 Phantasy Camp reunion at Citizens Bank Park. And of course, another return to Clearwater in January 2012…
So don’t go turn that dial!
Thank You… Again!
The MLBlogs Leaders for February 2011 were announced, and incredibly, I moved in to the Top 20, landing at the #19 slot. Last month, I was mistakenly placed at the number one spot, but was quickly revised, still keeping me in the Top 25.
*NEW* MLBlogosphere ranking… and thoughts on this Phantasy Camp Diary
Due to an unfortunate error, my unheralded rise to “MLBlogosphere Immortality” was indeed, miscalculated. According to the revised numbers, I am now sitting at #24 on the current list MLBlogosphere leaders. But, just as I was when I found out I even made the Top 100 the first time, I am still over the moon.
#1 in the MLBlogosphere!
One of my goals for this blog was to crack the Top 100 of the monthly MLBlogs leaders, at least just once. Well, I cracked it alright…

Phantasy Camp Interview and Links
I’ve been back from Phantasy Camp for just over a week, and I feel like I haven’t left. The response to the blog has been incredible, and I thank each and every one of you for stopping by, reading, and taking the time to comment, send me an email, or pass it along to others.
1/3/11 – …and speaking of a Happy New Year…
On the homepage of the MLBlogs website today, my blog was “featured” as part of their New Year celebration. Number 9 Number 9 Number 9…. Congrats to two other Phillies MLBlogs for making the feature, Phillies Phollowers and The Phanatic Addict. Thanks MLB!
